I made a modest contribution to making the program about Swastika: Reclaiming the Swastika on BBC Radio 4 (to be broadcast at 11:00 on Friday 24 October – and on the BBC iPlayer for 30 days after broadcast). It has been prepared by Mukti Jain Campion. I would like to recommend it to all my followers. Please also read the feature story by Mukti Jain Campion on BBC Magazine How the world loved the swastika – until Hitler stole it.

Very well done didn’t think I would enjoy it but did.
Thought the part on the tusk swastika-like patterns was very interesting. Clearly in the West it needs to become more understood and judged on where it is applied from ancient artefacts to it’s religious significance.
I thought however the most troubling part was that Germany was trying to remove it’s existence and in doing so infringing on the rights of ethnic groups that have a legitimate reason to use it – very worrying.
